5/8/2023 0 Comments Eve online super resize![]() Could open up EVE to "pro" gaming events like the aforementioned SC2.EVE Anywhere lets players on Safari, Edge, Chrome or Firefox browsers log into their EVE accounts and jump into the world of New Eden without downloading a game client. I agree an interactive "recording" wouldn't really be worth it, or even a good thing.īut a live spectator mode, where players could stream their screen, but allow the spectators to click and look at things independently from the streamer would be good. Yeah, the browser does have tabs, and I usually keep a couple useful tabs open, and an extra one with crap from local/fleet chat to open pictures in. I would not want my browser to resize just because the new tab I opened contains a smaller image. This would be an awesome addition, since, while the extra interface that CCP uses in realtime to show the fight progress is very informative, it does fall short in a lot of things.Īs for your second idea: Don't post two ideas in one thread, that usually ends with one being criticized, and the other ignored, regardless of their qualities. There's nothing secret after prizes are awarded - by next year the meta and rules will have changed, so you can even show ship fittings. I would absolutely love to see recordings of tournament fights that have the actual positions of the ships and their states published after the tournament finished. I can see one place where most of these problems are sidestepped: Tournament fights. Making sense of a 100 vs 100 fight is a daunting task if you're interested in individual pilot actions and states. It's a huge PITA for not all that much gain - solo PVP streamers will usually give commentary that allows to understand a lot more of the combat than just the video. Publish them the next day? What if the fits are secret? What if the bookmark spots are supposed to be secret until the next fight on this grid (happening the next day). Record all fights? Record only fights that were requested? (So 99% instead of 100%). There's also the questions of "What do you record?" and "When do you publish it?". So, to the already 90% TIDI environment you would add the load of saving every server action to some kind of recording? Or state of every tick on the grid? I'm pretty sure that would be one enormous file + add more server load, so no. Well you can't do it client-side, otherwise everyone gets the entire grid state (and no use for scanners or watchlists or anything). much cleaner.Īnyways, theres two spare cents in two spare minutes. this way my screen isnt covered with a white page every time i open one. all the while this is still playing the recorded game play.Īnother thing that i think would be nice is, when i click say an imgur or w/e link in chat and the browser opens the image, it would be a lot cleaner to have the browser window open to the exact size of of the image. or switch to the view of another ship thats in the fight. Imagine if on that video i could still click a pilot, and see his info, or the info of the ship its flying, while the recording is playing. I watch videos of fights occasionally and i always find myself trying to click different targets on the video to get more info from them only to find that, obviously, i cant. much like a free cam or player view switching in an FPS recording. So i was thinking that it would be super cool (and also a huge amount of work) to have some sort of in game recording with the ability to still use the interface while watching said recording.
